DJ Services

Do we choose all the music for our event?

  I encourage you to choose as much or as little of the music that will be played at your event as you would like. The goal is to make the process as easy as possible for you, so if you don’t want to select specific music, we will discuss the goals and vision of the event, and I will curate the music based on what those goals are.

Will we meet to go over the details before the event?

  We will meet (this can be a phone call, video call, or in person) upon the time of booking, as well as about a month out from the event to go over all the details. I’m also available anytime leading up to the scheduled meeting to help with all things related to your planning process.

Do you just play songs back-to-back?

  I generally “mix” all of the music. I don’t just play the songs from beginning to end as that typically creates lots of peaks and valleys in the energy on the dance floor. Mixing the music helps sustain that dance floor energy.

Will you take song requests from guests during the event?

  This is totally up to you. We can allow requests from guests if you would like, and also allow them only if they fit the vibe. We can also choose not to accept requests at all if that’s your preference.

Can we select Must Play songs?

  Absolutely! A must play song list is certainly welcome…Afterall, this is YOUR event!

What if you have equipment failure during the event?

  I bring backup equipment of EVERYTHING. Unexpected equipment failure can destroy the vibe of an event, especially if you don’t have the equipment on hand to rebound things. In the unlikely event that I have a piece of equipment fail mid event, rest assured it won’t put a stop to your party!

Will you provide dance lighting? Is lighting important to have for the event?

  I provide intelligent dance floor lighting with all packages. I also offer intelligent up-lighting as an optional add-on.  Good dance lighting is more important than many people realize as this adds significantly to the overall experience (sometimes this is even subconscious) for your guests. Unfortunately, high quality lighting is often overlooked, and you’re left with basic, erratic dance floor lighting that detracts from the overall vibe most are looking to achieve.  With Elite Entertainment, premium lighting is just one of the many things that we include, as this help to provide the absolute best experience possible. Could we maybe get away with some low quality dance floor lighting (after all, most people aren’t going to know the difference when booking a DJ), sure, but that’s not how we roll!

What do you typically wear to the event?

  I dress accordingly for the occasion. Whether it’s a formal wedding, or a backyard party, I will be dressed in a professional manner that is aligned with the event. 

I’ve heard some DJs in the past and the sound wasn’t so good. What sound equipment do you use?

  I use all high end (EV, JBL, QSC) sound equipment. As a DJ, I feel that amazing sound quality should just be a given!
